Another absolute standout Australian made Vintage Radiogram
We at Retraphonics are certainly blessed from above to have the chance to restore yet another 1960’s masterpiece
Manufactured post WW2 in Melbourne Australia by Healing A.G
The attention to detail in the cabinetry is world class, featuring solid timber real wood veneer, gold glitter speaker coverings and chrome strips throughout make this Radiogram a true feature piece.
These compact sized Radiograms are becoming harder and harder to find. We now live in such a throwaway society that these vintage restored pieces of art are now genuine investments.
Featuring a fully restored all original BSR stacking turntable, did you know this record player has the ability to stack up to 10 of your favourite records and stack them down one after the other and play them non stop. Innovative designs that are no longer available to purchase in any new turntables manufactured today.
We have overhauled the turntable with all new grease and lubricant to ensure its workings are back to how it was when it was first made. A truly bullet proof turntable that will continue to operate effortlessly. Installed is a brand new ceramic cartridge and stylus for high quality vinyl reproduction. Tried, tested and approved by us! Our new formula has your records sounding super warm and crisp.
What else is inside?
It features a Valve amplifier/ receiver literally made of metal these units were made to last, back when Australia was at its peak of raw quality manufacturing. Much like the Kingsley Radiograms they all share the same output audio valves the renowned 6GW8 pentode and triode. The sound coming from this unit will have your neighbours introducing themselves and kindly asking “what in your house is making that beautiful vintage sound?”
Also on board is an AM radio receiver which can pickup a wide range of AM stations, there is a point in life where you take a look in the mirror and realise that AM radio was simply broadcasted for YOU. Put down the ebooks and podcasts, you are now listening to live talkback Radio and greyhound racing.
We have gone the extra mile and made it available for you to play your iPhone/ Samsung through this radiogram with the assistance of an adapter cable that we offer at an additional cost. How versatile?!
