Greeting earthlings, we at @retraphonics present to you this fully restored space edition PYE SR691 radiogram.

Experience that 1970’s vintage analog sound that everyone is wanting!

This is in fact a very rare 1975 model PYE radiogram with quirky blue lit amplifier and space age logos lettering throughout. This one is for the truly cool cat record collector. As we have been restoring these for quite some time now we are very hesitant to let this one go as there will most likely never be another to arise in the wild.

Here’s the run down, hand made in Australia by PYE the cabinet is in very nice presentable condition. Small blemishes and defects have been touched up accordingly. The under side and the rear of the cabinet have been completely re-sealed as they were raw HMR and exposed. Record storage to the right of the amplifier which will house a nice stack of your favourite vinyl.

The turntable is a fully automatic optional manual BSR 10 stacker. They don’t make these anymore, made in the UK and very durable with the most easy record player to use by far. The record player has been removed and an extensive major service has been carried out. All moving parts have been re-lubricated and motor and bearings re oiled. Brand new needle has been installed, this record player is working as good as it was in 1975 when it was made.

The amplifier is a very strong solid state PYE made in Australia these amplifiers were honestly made to last, with built in AM tuner it has undergone a minor service cleaning all pots and switches and inspecting the internals to ensure it is working flawlessly, which it is. Sounds very punchy with incredibly generous bass response for the size of the cabinet. Tape inputs allow you to plug your iPhone/ Samsung or computer in to play your favourite Spotify or playlists through this radiogram.

This PYE radiogram employs two 8” full range speakers that we have upgraded to a higher quality 1980’s speaker system which is a huge compliment to its sound reproduction and to the beautiful unit itself.
