General Electric (GE) Lowboy
We at Retraphonics appreciate the engineering and design of GE and we have kept everything original completely original. The original amplifier receiver has undergone an overhaul of all electrolytic capacitors, light bulbs replaced and the volume potentiometer has been replaced with a new one and associated polyester capacitors. Resulting in very impressive audio reproduction, this unit is extremely loud and has seen a 75% increase in volume and bass response since rebuilding. The speakers are original full range 12” Rola loudspeakers.
The BSR turntable has been removed and completely pulled apart striped back of all grease and dried lubricant and re lubricated. The plinth and auto mechanism has been freshly powder coated in original Jet Black. A new needle and cartridge has been added. Motor pulled apart and cleaned and oiled. The idler wheel has been resurfaced. Fully automatic turntable allowing you to stack up-to 10 records and this unit will automatically play them one after the other and continue to do so unit the last record is played. Optional manual operation.
Exterior cabinet has been pulled back to its original teak finish and polished to enhance its original beautiful wood grains
